Support for Parents & Carers

We are here to support you and your children 24 hours a day.

We understand that navigating the education system can feel overwhelming, especially when your child’s needs don’t quite fit the traditional structure. As parent carers, you’re often left advocating in complex spaces, seeking answers, and trying to do what’s best for your child in a system that doesn’t always flex.

Whether you’re exploring alternatives to mainstream education, supporting a part-time or reduced timetable, or simply trying to make sense of what your child needs right now - you’re not alone.

Support for children

What we can offer

Child mental health

Our service offers specialist advice and practical strategies tailored to your child’s individual learning profile. We can help you:

  • Understand and respond to your child’s learning needs or gaps

  • Access funding or support through local and national frameworks

  • Create bespoke plans for learning or SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) support

  • Work collaboratively on Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) applications

  • Navigate the graduated response model in line with the SEND Code of Practice

  • Stay within in the framework of the National Curriculum while centring your child’s wellbeing

We know that for many children, engagement is the first step - before progress, before academic success - just feeling safe, seen and ready to learn.

If you’re feeling stuck, unsure, or just want a conversation with someone who understands the system and its challenges, please get in touch. We are here to support you.

What Can You Ask Us?

Every child is different, and every family is unique. You might not be sure what you need yet, or you might be facing something really specific. Either way, we are here to listen and help.

You can pose a question, outline a situation or describe your child’s needs using our Contact Us button below. Whether it’s a short message or a longer story, we’ll take time to understand and respond with care and expertise.

Here are just a few examples of the things families ask us about.

  • “My child is struggling to cope with school, and we’re looking at a reduced timetable. What are our rights?”

  • “We’re thinking about Elective Home Education but feel unsure about what to teach and how to structure it”

  • “Our child has sensory needs and finds the school environment overwhelming. What support can we ask for?”

  • We’re on a long CAMHS waiting list and school is saying they can’t help without a diagnosis”

  • “We’re applying for an EHCP but don’t know where to start; can you help with the process? Is it still worth it?”

  • “Our child has anxiety and refuses school, we’re stuck and feel like no one is listening”

  • “We want to make sure the school is following the SEND Code of Practice. How can we check and what should we expect?”

These are just a few examples. If your situation isn’t listed, that’s okay. We are used to working with complexity and thinking creatively. Whatever you are dealing with, you don’t have to navigate it alone.
