What a Session Looks Like

Every session begins with you , where you are, what’s present for you, and what you’d like to explore.

Our work is collaborative, not diagnostic or prescriptive. You are not a problem to be fixed, but a person to be understood. I create a space of psychological safety where you can slow down, notice what’s happening within you, and begin to understand the patterns behind your thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and bodily sensations.

Sessions typically weave together education, somatic awareness, and exploration:

  • Education offers knowledge — about the mind, nervous system, emotion, and behaviour — helping you understand why you experience things the way you do.

  • Somatic awareness invites you to tune into your body — noticing tension, energy blocks, or sensations — and use gentle movement, grounding, or massage to support emotional regulation and release.

  • Exploration encourages reflection and enquiry — gently uncovering what’s beneath the surface, increasing awareness, and supporting self-connection.

You may find our work includes discussion, guided reflection, gentle movement, somatic exercises, or body-based grounding practices. Occasionally, we may use structured frameworks from The Mind Psychologist Model to help you see your experience with greater clarity, insight, and compassion.

Every session is unique, because you are unique. Some people come for short-term focus and insight; others choose a longer reflective journey. The pace and depth always unfold in a way that feels safe, meaningful, and embodied for you.

The intention is not just understanding , it’s transformation through awareness, learning to work with your mind and body.

Where and How Sessions Take Place

I work in a way that fits you your comfort, rhythm, and preferred way of engaging.
Sessions can take place:

  • Online — a calm, private space to connect wherever you are.

  • On a call — a flexible, voice-only option for those who prefer simplicity and focus.

  • In person — at my Be:ond Studio in Bakewell, a welcoming space designed for reflection and clarity.

  • Outdoors — during a walk-and-talk session, combining movement, nature, and conversation for those who think best while moving.

  • In the gym — integrating body, breath, and mind awareness in a grounding, physical environment.

or come to a Mind in Motion Class, these are scheduled on the Mind in Motion page
